Xbox 360 Review - Kinect

Microsoft has hit such a house run with the brand new Xbox 360 Kinect. It's only been out there since November 4, 2010, but already the evaluations are pouring in saying that it is indeed a revolutionary technique to play video games.
The truth is, it makes the experience of enjoying a video game so different that individuals who had by no means even considered buying a gaming console before at the moment are taking a long hard take a look at them. The Kinect places video gaming into a whole totally different realm other than the picture of an adolescent slouching on the couch holding a controller whereas he tries to kill everyone on the screen before he's killed himself.
With the Kinect for the Xbox 360, your physique and voice grow to be the controller. It really works with a camera and microphone which were programmed to have the ability to see and hear human movement and voices. Keep in mind "A House Odyssey's" Hal pc that the crew talked to and he talked back? Nicely, this is form of like that in the sense that you simply speak and move your physique and the characters on the display screen respond.
Due to the way in which that Kinect games are performed, lots of people are buying it as a strategy to have enjoyable and get a number of train at the same time. There are a number of health-oriented video games obtainable, including Kinect Sports, Dance Central, and there is even one by the hit TV reality present, "Greatest Loser".
On account of the demand for the Kinect by individuals who do not personal a console, Microsoft is providing an Xbox 360 Kinect bundle which provides you the chance to get both the Xbox 360 console (which it is advisable make the Kinect work) and the Kinect itself for a reduced price. In truth, they have two completely different bundles out there, one with a 4 GB inside hard drive and one with a 250 GB exhausting drive.
Whereas the four GB drive looks as if an terrible lot of area to replenish, customers have reported that it goes extremely fast. There are some games that come on 2 disks and you need to load one onto the console first and just this one can take 3-four GB, so if you've bought the additional dollars in your funds, the 250 GB is de facto the perfect choice. Plus, with the extra storage room, you can save games on the console and not should load them from a disk every time you want to play.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Fall Out 3

Fallout 3 is a welcomed addition to the fallout family. Fans of the series will not be disappointed with the graphics, sound quality and quest challenges as the game meets all expectations and even more. It is slightly different than the original one and two Fallout, but it still has the same objectives and theories that you would previously expect.
The game is based out of Washington in the far future. The story line is that you and your dad have been hiding in a capsule while a nuclear war had been going on; only now with your dad lingering around outside, it is up to you to find him. The only problem is that there are ghouls and enemies out there are will do anything to stop you.
The game is credited for giving players absolute freedom to explore the world and to chat with anyone they choose. You can explore factories to people`s homes. Nowhere is out of bounce and you can do pretty much anything you want.
You can earn rewards and items for doing good deeds. Every time you do something good in the world for example rescue an orphan you earn karma points but if you do something not so nice such as rob a bank, then your karma points go down. Through-out the game there will be opportunities to do quests or even get help from someone, however if your karma level is down then don`t expect many good things to come your way or anyone to willingly help you.
The graphics in the game are amazing and very realistic as far as post nuclear Washington would look. The scenery is gruesome and holds back nothing to show as much detail in everything as possible. For example if you slay an enemy you can see in detail where the cut happens and how the injury pans out, whether the head comes off or part of a shoulder, the game does not hold back.
The sound in the game is also fine. You can hear everything from the wind going by to a set of firing bullets in the far distance. Everything is crystal clear and makes you believe that you are there. If you want some music, this option is for you as well, there are several choices to choose from and the music never gets too loud so you can still concentrate on the game. The game has been noted to be played best in the first person making it a better visual to play.
Most people say that Fall Out 3 works better on Xbox 360 then PS3. In PS3 there were some graphic issues and some issues around fading images or disappearing items that are visual in Xbox 360. The issues are minor and it was also stated that both systems play the game well, but that one played it better than the other one did.
As you head through the game you can earn things like strength, perception, and endurance and you can also win items such as heavy weapons and lock picking tools. These items come in handy for you as you wiz through the world.
The quests are fewer than in previous Fall Out 3 games, there quick and short, but however should not be rushed by intention. There is a lot to be done in each game and players are urged to go through it thoroughly. If you finish the game you cannot go back to a saved spot in the game, you have to start over.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Battlefield Bad Company 2

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is Electronic Arts' latest first-person shooter to hit the Playstation 3, Windows, and Xbox 360 game platforms. Released March 3, 2010, it is the direct sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company, resembling much of the same gameplay as its predecessor.
The game takes place during World War II, beginning somewhere in the Japanese-occupied Pacific and later moving on to the United States, South America, and the mountainous border regions of Russia. In single-player mode, you play the leader of Bravo Two squad (originally known as "B-Company" in the first Bad Company) in the search for a top-secret weapon code-named "Aurora". Players get 13 missions to complete in this campaign, choosing from the same characters that appeared in the original game.
Bad Company 2 includes all of the same modes of transportation the first title did and then some, adding vehicles like the UH-60 Black hawk, patrol boats, and quadrunners. Weapons are a major appeal to this title. From sidearms to heavy metal, each weapon performs in an incredibly realistic fashion.
Featuring what Electronic Arts calls "Destruction 2.0", the game's destructible environments allow for more carnage than ever before, as players can now completely destroy a building as opposed to just blowing up small portions of it. Aside from Battlefield Vietnam, it is the only other game in the Battlefield series to display blood right out of the box without any mods. A highly enhanced AI provides squadmates that actually are worth the pixels they are drawn on, actually engaging in combat, reacting to destruction, and eliminating the bad guys rather than just sitting around serving as cannon fodder.
Bad Company 2 is far more cinematic and engaging than the first one. Its single-player mode, however, runs the risk of appearing too "linear" and constrictive with advanced gamers. Fortunately, its multi-player mod tops even the excellent gameplay of the original, present a large variety of online modes and maps. The title's multi-player gaming, with all of the improvements of the title in general, only makes the already-pleasant gaming experience found in the original just that much better. The graphics include more detailed characters, levels, and special effects. Sound is done nicely as well, with humorous voice acting for squadmates and intense background music that adds realism to the gaming experience.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 received outstanding reviews throughout the gaming community, with the most notable ratings as follows:
IGN - 8.9 out of 10

Game Informer - 9.5 out of 10

GameZone - 9.25 out of 10

Gametrailers 9.1 out of 10
Reviews praised Bad Company 2 for its fast gameplay, excellent graphics, compelling sound, and exciting multi-player mode. A difficult feat to accomplish as a sequel, Bad Company 2 has lived up to its heritage. The most obvious complaint keeping the expert reviewers from giving Bad Company 2 a full "10" was the single-player mode not being able to keep up with its multi-player counterpart. GameZone, for example, had the following comments, "even though the single-player campaign still isn't where it needs to be, Bad Company 2 is definitely a great sequel that builds on its predecessor in every way, making for one that no shooter fan will want to miss, especially if you go online for your gaming." Whether this problem is due to the single-player mode disappointing or the multi-player mode being just too good to compare is left up to the player.

This game features nonstop innovation in an online multiplayer battle, and is definitely sure to satisfy Battlefield fans and all the game players.

The demo also includes a glance at the latest multiplayer mode, Gold Rush. Not only that, but if you get to Rank 4 in the demo, you will release an best in-game weapon.
The Bad Company is the vicinity of prospect and the arms and vehicles replicate this nicely. The U.S.A is in the heart of a war with the country of Russia and you have been located in the center of it. Moments after incoming bets are being completed in respect of how long you will live, and you go under the surface being the newsier in a hard-bitten unit.
The jokes and one-liners are of great fun, and the conversation is funny. One of the amusing parts of the game is the communication connecting Haggard and Sweetwater, who smash into a game of rock paper scissors and annoy every one. All of this bring the characters to life and gives a level of quality, which does not come in enough quantity in the games like this.
This is the better game available in the market and the graphics are good and I can assure you that you will have a good time playing it. Internet is a good source of getting this game. You will get lots of information about this game on Internet so don't wait and get to the fun now.

Xbox 360 Game Review - Guitar Hero 5

In the past Activision was a name that I automatically assumed gave a quality gaming experience. There were times when I was disappointed in a particular effort or project they had put forth, but not this time.
Guitar Hero 5 is one of the latest Video Game titles in the Guitar Hero Franchise, but not by any stretch of the imagination "the least". One would think that a lot of the best Guitar Hero songs had been used in earlier titles. It is true there are indeed an entire list of kick ass tunes for you to jam to on the earlier GH games, and considering this is GH5 ..that's a long list. Do not fear however, there are priceless gems on this game for you to enjoy no matter your music genre preference. In fact there are 85 songs by 83 Artists on the Game Disc. I think it's important to remember I'm not even counting DLC* yet.*DlC-(Downloadable Content) can be free or purchaseable, this usually would be extra songs.
As we all probably know, Guitar Hero songs are performed by pressing the appropriately color coded keys and moving the strum bar on your guitar controller. If pressed and 'strummed in time to the moving notes on your television screen... you advance your score and move forward in the game. Press the notekeys and strum out of time, and the crowd Boo's you off stage to try again in another venue. The graphics are sufficient for most as they are actually quite good for this type of game, and although important are not as integral to a game of this type as they would be to an action/fps style game. As well it is important to note that as usual, this game is playable with ALL guitar hero controllers, microphones, guitars, and drums. Yes ,that is correct! Guitar Hero 5 is not just another guitar game.
You can indeed use peripherals from other activision titles to play "Band" oriented gigs. Now that is a great time for all, and a lot of quality 'Family fun' .You may 'jump in' and out of Songs at any time,
in an all new mode available for GH5. It's called Party Mode, you'll want to keep that in mind.Another interesting side note is the ability to rock out on stage as your Xbox Avatar.Playeable online and off,Solo or Group, with a complete mixture of music styles and Genres, this game is actually pretty great!
Bad points? Well yeah Guitar Hero Songs are like "Reality Shows".There is a new one popping up every twenty minutes and it is very hard to differentiate between quality and garbage without putting out some dollars. Basically it's a great addition to a game market that is already flooded with games of this type, that seems counterproductive and more like a money grab than anything for fans and consumers. My other bad point, although the following may be fine with some, it's a 'deal breaker' for other hardcore GH fans. That bad point is the music selection is multi style and genre. I had earlier listed that as a positive, but I ALSO must list it as a negative . There are a lot of gamers out there who just WILL NOT buy and play a style of music they do not like. So in the end a lot of these gamers buy the game for a small portion of the songs only. Worse even, there will be others that are so put off by this, they will NOT buy the game period.
All in all they wouldn't have made a Guitar Hero 5 unless they believed people would find it worthwhile and fun.In this they succeeded. And although I believe it to be one more occasion of trying to capitalize on the GH style music game, I also must say we wouldn't buy it if we didn't want it, and apparently we as gamers, want it.

Xbox 360 game review - Gears of War A Cog full of Testosterone

Gears of War for the Xbox 360 was one of the console selling titles, personally I loved it! Typically console post sucks. Moreover, following the footsteps of greatness is never easy so woul forgive my trepidation while reviewing the PC version. It's been two days, and 18 hours... and I have one word for you - awesome! The controls of the Xbox 360 were nice (a rarity for third person shooters on bmw console) and the mouse totally rocks. Now the headshots are only limited by weapon recoil and a twitchy arm. The gameplay is as frenetic as the Xbox 360 version, and with five new levels Gears of War has something for you even if you have played it on the Xbox 360.
Marcus Fenix, ex-con and ex-COG (Coalition of Governments) special forces, and his team are up against the locust horde - a race that have mysteriously emerged from the very bowels of the earth through worm holes.
Your mission is to plant a very large explosive device av the core of the hopeds hives, deep, deep underground. Fire digits are unavoidable and why the heck would you want to? Marcus Fenix is the classic grunt - all muscle and abuse, and he's as likely to make worm kebab with his assault rifle as he is likely to make grub salami with his chainsaw. In fact, this weapon (the under-barrel mounted chainsaw) makes for some of the goriest and squishiest moments in the whole game, where you get to melee the locust if they get too close. The enemy ain't smart, but they are fast, and fearless, as well as a little on the juicy side... yum-yum.
Gears of War is all about combat, team tactics, and strategic points like cover, machine gun nests, even elevated positions. There ain't no live heroes in this game... The locust horde takes many forms from the grunts, who are man-like, a little taller, to the boomers - slightly larger rocket wielding grunts, to much larger enemies like spawners. Combat is never boring, and you can actually melee an enemy with a spiked grenade... Watch 'em run and go pop... Voila, lovely red paintjob.
Gears of War is one adrenaline load you shouldn't miss. Indulgence is the best form of worship...so get this and play it now...

Xbox 360 Game Review - Rock Band

The Nintendo Wii raised the bar when it comes to interactivity. The physical aspect gives you a whole new dimension of immersion in games, a new order of reality. But the Wii has cornered the market in the childish, family fun style games. With Rock Band, the Xbox 360 is back in the game, and with a bang. Wannabe rock and rollers can really get a feel for what it's like to up on stage, in front of the adoring crowd.

You can, if you want to, pick an instrument and play solo, or have a jam session with others through Xbox live. But this thing really comes to life when you get your mates around to form a band. The complete set up comes with everything you need to rule the world. Lead guitar and bass guitar, a drum kit with four drum pads and a base bin pedal and, of course, a microphone to belt out those rock anthems.

The first thing is for each of you to choose your characters and give them personality with suitably over the top clothes and hairstyles. Next you'll need a name for the outfit, a big, bad one. Now you are ready to prepare for stardom. New tracks are becoming available all the time from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, to add to what is already available. Choose wisely and you could be onto a winner.

Rock Band will guide you on what notes to play. For the singer, it is just like karaoke, with the words scrolling across the screen. As you sing, you get feedback on the pitch of your voice on the screen. The more you all hit the right notes, the louder the music gets and the more the crowd get behind you. The stage lights go wild and the joint starts jumping. Hit a bum note and you bring the score down.

If you are in the zone, each band member has the chance to go into Bonus Mode. If you all do it together, you are in Overdrive and then things really go out of control. The music and the noise of the crowd will blow your mind. With your body tingling and your senses reeling, you run off stage and grab a beer, in true rock and roll style.

The great thing is that you can't lose. If you really hit the spot, you'll have the crowd at your feet, baying for more. But if you suck, they won't be able to throw beer cans and ask for their money back. Speaking from experience, you don't want to go that interactive. Or maybe you do. Something for the developers to think about! As it stands, the adrenaline rush you get is real enough.

This is the ultimate party game and the ultimate Xbox 360 game. If there is a rock and roll bone in your body, you just can't help getting hooked into it. Get out of your dull existence and take a trip to rock and roll heaven. If you have ever stood in somebody's garage, plucking tentatively at a guitar and dreaming of what might be, don't dream any longer. Just jump right in and experience it for real.
